Jody Clancy Goldman

Jody first realized she wanted to be an artist  while she was living in Miami and traveling around the world as a flight attendant.  The opportunity to travel to over 50 countries, and see the abundance of wildlife in such diverse natural settings in the countries she visited became  the primary influence for her paintings.  Jody always loved animals and has a growing concern for the protection of endangered species and their exclusive habitats.    This is the reason she concentrates  her focus on becoming a wildlife artist.  The diversity of wildlife is her one and only inspiration and her artwork is intended to bring awareness to the delicate balance we have in nature.

Jody works primarily in oil, colored pencil and watercolor and her studio is on the Gulf Coast of Florida where she studies and paints from the many examples of exotic birds in this area.  Paintings are completed on  pre-stretched canvases or panels for her oil paintings.  Recently, in the pursuit to improve her skills Jody has taken advantage of a learning opportunity from studios in the Sarasota area and has been inducted into Oil Painters of America.   At the start of 2022 she was also admitted to the Association of Animal Artists, and most recently she has been invited to be an artist member of ArtistsForConservtion (AFC).

Goldman's work has received national as well as international recognition. She has numerous works printed in publications including Sarasota Seasons Magazine (front cover and centerfold), VAir from Art4Apes, Smithsonian Institute of Primate Studies in Madison WI, and Camelback Gallery Featured Artist in Scottsdale AZ.  Her works are enjoyed in many private homes and can be viewed at galleries on the west coast of Florida: Island Gallery and Studios (resident artist), North Port Art Guild (Best in Show recipient) and ArtCenter Manatee (Bradenton FL).

Many of her paintings have been exhibited and awarded in juried shows:  Miami Art Show, Orange County Pottery Studio, Valencia College, Orlando Art Theatre, Anna Maria Art League Winter Show,  Vizcaya,  Bradenton Mainly Art, and Florida County Fair (Best in Show 2021 and 2022), and various retail shops.

Nov. 12, 2022- - - Congratulations to Jody Goldman for winning 3rd prize on her Chimp painting in the fine art category.  This is awarded in a global competition competing with 583 other contestants by www.Art4Apes.com.  (See notes on the Blog Page.)

Keep in mind that most paintings are also available in affordable giclee' reproductions in a "Print on Demand" (POD) situation.  POD allows the artist to maintain inventory in an affordable manner which keeps pricing at a minimum, reduces overproduction and cuts down on the carbon footprint.

Thank you,
