I am a graduate of Valencia College/Orlando, a mother of one son, retired from the airline industry and basically a self taught artist. I have been drawing and painting for as long as I could hold a pencil; a gift I was born with and one that was encouraged by my mother to whom I am most grateful. In fact, the first paintings I exhibited and sold were painted under my maiden name “Clancy”. I have retained that as my “pen name” on all my art work as thanks to mom for her support and encouragement.
As happens so frequently, during the hectic time of raising a family and focusing on my career I stopped painting, but I never gave up my brushes nor my love of creating art. Now, with kids grown and retirement achieved, I am picking up my brushes and start painting again. Watercolors, oils and colored pencils are my primary mediums however I have been recently introduced to the three dimension medium of clay. As my experience progresses, I will be adding items to my shop.
I now live on the west coast of Florida so it’s only natural that sea creatures and wildlife are the focus of my art. Additionally, many of my paintings have been created from photographs taken while traveling to over 60 countries during my airline career. I have studied under the tutelage of Virginia Lovell/Miami, Orange County Pottery Studio and Valencia College/Orlando. My works have been exhibited at the Miami Art Show, Vizcaya, Manatee Art Museum, Orlando Art theater and various private shops.
I hope you enjoy viewing my work as much as I enjoy creating it. Life is good!
